Restaurant Review: Is Destiny Café: The Best Pho in Town?Thursday, September 22, 2011
It’s a nice warm day in August, 78 degrees to be exact, and today is a perfect day for pho. Pho has got to be on the list of the most loved dishes by Hmong teens, (besides papaya salad, of course). However, with so many pho restaurants, it’s hard to determine which place has the best pho in Minnesota.
You’s Views on 2012Thursday, September 22, 2011
Today I was walking down across campus to my classroom when all of a sudden I stepped into a pile of turd. Occasionally, I will see dog poo here and there, but never really step in any. I usually dodge the turds like a boss with my ultimate footwork action. This incident can be compared to the superstition of the year: 2012.
Letter to MyselfThursday, September 22, 2011
Let me start by saying, how come education was not part of your important list? I know that making friends was a big thing but couldn’t it have waited? I just want you to view education as an important part of your life. Remember what mom and dad use to tell you how education is important, well trust me it is.

RegretsFriday, September 16, 2011
It’s not something we want. It’s not something we need. It’s not something we beg for either. It’s something we can’t always accept. It’s something we want to forget. It’s the reason many of us think before we do. We start to question ourselves with words like: “Could have; should have; what if; and maybe.” It is called regret.

Knowing Your Hmong: SuperstitionsFriday, September 16, 2011
According to Dictionary.com, a superstition is a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge. Without superstitions, there would not be any “rules” to adhere to. “Rules” is the key word here because some times superstitions are followed like rules and no culture would be culturally different from the rest if not for their rules/traditions.
First Year FearsWednesday, September 14, 2011
I’m not going to survive in college! I keep saying to myself. In my four years of high school, I have never been exposed to this much stress! My stress level has definitely increased. College hasn’t even started and I am already so frustrated! All this stress began when I signed up for the second to the last orientation. All my friends were already done with orientation and was just waiting for college to start. And I haven’t even gone to orientation yet.

Words From the Past to the FutureMonday, September 12, 2011 - 12:18
I am not too sure exactly what I want to leave behind, or what to give for what’s ahead. Today is August 24th, 2011. I have lived for 18 years, 8 months, and 21 days. All that time, I only want to say one thing: “Never stop believing.” Hopefully you, my future, have yet to forget these words. Even if you do, please read this letter one day and remember these words.
